AUTHORS - Spencer Dylan

Three Poems
from Orgasmic Lies
an anthology of makeshift verse

Red Eye

All my organs were rearranged
During an all night session
Swapping lies and lives
Over a broken bottle
Of sugary skies
To stave off the terminal boredom
That scratches my soul
As I fall asleep
Scared
That I might wake up

Ultra-violent silence atop a tower of light standing out making a stand in the land of dark night fright delight ambient malevolence prevails from aniseed eyes surprised at the demise of the hired disguise i wore to shun your macabre stare. Electric flies compromise the short straw lottery draw pedantic serial romantic, oh god i bruise so beautifully but i never bleed at all. Struck by lightening whilst wishing on a star, ran over by a matchbox car still boxed in detox from night life bright sight Dutch discourage topsy-turvy, up side, down side, merry go around and love life for no reason. Our coincidental cares share one ambivalent ambition to be all and end all in dressing gown frowns and bed hair snares. See the liquor store whore and her gaudily gift wrapped genteel genitals pulling tricky tricks for a price, ain't no bowler bunny honey it's funny money in a wired world with changing room surround. It's not nice but if the price is right you can come and go, no strings to this motionless collision and i had this instrumental vision that she was you.

The Unwritten Word Binds Me

The unwritten word binds me
The blank page finds me
Suckle soft
Mind in head
Hand feeding the breast that bleeds
Absent mannerisms
Voice instead
Free flowing synaptic surges
Perverse urges through swallowed skin

I am a man without a cause
I am a man bound by gauze
I am a man whose thinking failed
I am a man to no avail

The great worm of time rides a bareback cheetah down the line
Navigating seized up mechanics of sump dry quantum
A broken backed bridge deludes my ascension
As infrequent sparks of inspiration keep my powder dry
And the green flourish tears of inception
Flood by and by

I am a man whose reason fled
I am a man whose brains ran red
I am a man who loved and lost
I am a man raped by god

Body, mind and soul unite in me
Only to go their separate ways
Seeking something else
Amongst dog-eyed stars
Deep-seated in decay
And rebirth screams
In the phoenix flame
Seared in sky scars from the beginning
Suffering by another name
To transcend and include itself
In each progression
Fracturing the blame

All I once knew I knew
I don’t know anymore
