MYRICS

CELEBPITY

My love has alighted,
My love was unrequited.
She didn’t know me,
She wouldn’t show me,
I’ve lost the fight
And seen the light,
Life is aimless,
Death is painless.

EVENT HORIZON

Let’s set up home on
A new and distant land,
We’ll celebrate the glory,
Celebrate the damned.
Forever all alone,
Making no impression,
Most of all just suffering,
Richey, manic, depression.

Jimi’s the seeker,
The Preachers will hide,
You can cut,
You shall swear,
You will writhe.
Crash down on a wave –
Slip away with the tide,
Your face will find the floor,
When you live through suicide.

GAS

Rolled his last Rizla,
Rasta rolls up into the all-nighter.
Called up his brother,
He waits with a warm cup
And plays with his lighter.
The King comes over
In his tricked-out Rover,
With bags of gold and myrrh.
Taxi scuffs his knees,
Hands him honeybees,
Says over, “thank you sir”.

Rasta rolled with a rip
When the filth rolled up into the all-nighter.
Taxi took a sip
From his now-cold cup
And realised he’d lost his lighter.

SOLE MATE

You are heavenly to look at,
So strawberry to smell,
When I feel unwanted,
You stick to me like gel.
Through hell I’m given hope,
That brightness lies ahead,
Warming eyes wash away my blues
And make peach what I see red.
Your beauty rocks my base,
Foundations of a lover,
Your magical ways will make me wait
For the day we meet each other.

OVERTAKEN

It’s just as if the engine’s on my lap
And it’s no good to me there.
I can’t see where I’m going due to the fact
That my headlights have cracked,
‘Cause the impact came head on,
Hold on I’ve stopped dead in my tracks
But I’m still moving at such a slow rate,
I’m stuck in one second watching the airbag activate,
And I hate this low-spec wreck I’ve been pushing
With it’s hi-tech cushion
That’s just broken my nose,
But nobody knows because I’m all on my own
In my saloon’s safety seat sat in pieces in peace,
A big piece of meat
With a massacred motor my closed eyes see floaters fly,
And movements in my mind make up for
A body bloody minded by its own soul,
Seeking something but who knows what is
Wasted when that which is tasted is bloody nose snot,
But I’ve got to be somebody who’s anybody but me,
Maybe a tree, or a pop star in a cop car,
Arrested molested, tested positive for speeding silly
On a cocainebraintrain of thought,
Until being caught distraught by double nought seven,
Aston Martin heaven ejector seat treat,
Underwater daughter like no other
Until meeting the mother for Sunday dinner sinner and Holy Ghost roast,
Making passes raising glasses for the toast,
The elected respected Mr Big,
With a big cigar and big black car
Once driven by chauffeurs in snakeskin loafers,
For the rich and famous
Why can’t life be painless?

RECIPE FOUR

See through my eyes,
See through this disguise,
Stand in these shoes of blue suede persuasion,
Leave the building mesmerised,
Memorise the equation,
An answered evasion of equal and opposite,
A composite of this a mish mash of that,
Take off your hat put together your hands,
Ladies and gentlemen from all of the lands,
It’s make or break time so learn your lines for all they are worth,
It’s just funnymoneyhoneymilk that makes up this earth.

SEXISMMM

You know you want it you don’t know it yet so what we just met, if your scene is my scene then you know what I mean, we’ll cream it at Cream and everything fits at The Ritz. Unite in the night unite ‘cause it’s right all right on the night and it’s just getting light from the dusk till dawn of a brand new day, tomorrow turns today, tonight’s a long way away, bye by then your real eyes realise you did want it after all, you were so wrong for so long so you’ll make up for those missed hours, wake up from those pissed hours and this bedroom is ours. She strips I drop my chips jump into bed let’s get dead, dead and buried shipped and ferried over a love potionocean till the cat in the hat gets wetter and better for my dry proverb, for the herb we smoke that’s a hell of an oak to climb on sublime on, time on my side took for a ride on a rock ‘n’ roll rocking horse a three course meal take away to steal and hide away, the fun’s the chase anyway more challenging than the prize; and here’s the catch you realise I’ve caught you taught you touched you like no other except maybe your mother, but that’s it for now so long farewell last night was swell and how our scenes were one but I’m going I’m gone. Life is shit when it hits the fan but after all I am a man.

HAPPY SHOPPERS

Raise the curtain take the stage in the age you’re born in to yawn in the dawn of Disprin despair and healthy looking hair.
Draped in darkness the sandman’s shortcoming but early to rise to claim the prize and reap the gains of pensioner’s pains and sunrise eyes.
Better believe in beauty if nothing else at all, believe me I’ve seen it but felt some? Fuck all so so fucking what watch too many movies smoke cigarettes do drugs, drive too fast to find the kicks a six-pack a gas the tricks the crack.
I can’t get no satisfaction nor dual action relief movie chart toppers, bent coppers on space hoppers bouncing bounce on half an ounce, peachy pills ballistic billy coca cola shrivelled willy, silly billy got high got low said yes begged no but it costs to stay and visa to go.
Billy’s bored of being bored and ignored for so long but don’t get me wrong I’ll never take this life I’ve just lived it too long.

RIGHT FACE (WRONG TIME)

Is this goodnight or goodbye I said,
Her reply left me feeling confused and misled,
“I’ll see you again but who knows when,
Till next time, tomorrow or two thousand and ten.
Our paths will cross,
That much is sure,
But will I love you less?
Could you love me more?”
I’ll love you forever whether living or dead,
I’ll love you forever and ever I said.

ONE NIGHT AT A (4/4) TIME

Their eyes only met for a bet at the bar,
But in the club’s heat without a seat on tired feet from the club beat,
They could dance no more,
And some trance on the floor made them dance to the door.
From here the world was theirs, the hairs on their necks smelled sex,
So soon,
So bad,
So yes.
“That DJ dug those decks, the tunes he had were the best.”
But now for the good groove the real rhythm big beats breaking the back to the old school teaching each cool soul how to rock ‘n’ roll the red hot whole mind fucking madness that burns baby, and you’ll know when it hits ‘cause it fits like a glove;
Their eyes met –
They stepped into love.

BAD STREAM

Holding hydrogen balloons,
Bobbing on the waves of the wind,
The opposite goat lies sleeping
Unaware of his death impending,
Just a sacrifice, another sacrifice
To the God I built.

CONSEQUENCES

The sun scaled the sky,
Birdsong began the day,
The across-the-street man growled loudly,
Rascals and tykes ran away.
What starts with a motherful of hope,
Can end an abortionful of despair,
All the lust, the joy and the smiles have gone,
Now there is nothing but fear in the air.
Blinding light preludes an ear-splitting boom
That is superbly supersonic,
There will be no morning after,
After taking this nuclear tonic…..

Just perfect destruction.

THIS DAY

With an acute sense of dread I face the day, push back the duvet,
Roll up out of bed and toast some bread and think of something to say
To impress the girl at work who’s fit, I'll hold that thought 'til I lose it,
Remember to use it 'til I forget,
but I don’t want to think about work just yet;
Hear the rain hit the windowpane,
Hallmarks of a wet day,
Nothing new they’re all the same,
Is it Wednesday no it’s Tuesday.

These moments pass me by so many times I can’t recall,
I wonder whether time will tell if I’m ever told at all.

With an acute sense of dread I face the post push back the toast,
Rip up final warnings in red, think about moving to the coast,
Think about fish and buying a boat, located keys now where’s my coat,
I remember I wore it out last night,
Remember to forget all about last night,
Got hit by a blast from the past,
Took back to another era,
A forgotten old ride that failed to last
And at first I failed to hear her.

These moments pass me by so many times I can’t recall,
I wonder whether time will tell if I’m ever told at all.

With an acute sense of dread I’ve made this day this sodden Tuesday,
Missed the bus wet the wheels instead, paydays only days away
Fastracking to be a supervisor, better pay but none the wiser
Amidst an overtaking manoeuvre I remember I need dustbags for the Hoover,
‘Cause last night the cat spilt the ashtray, just as I finished my dinner,
I chose to leave the mess where it lay and I sparked up another two skinner.

These moments pass me by so many times I can’t recall,
I wonder whether time will tell if I’m ever told at all.
